I didn’t know the impact your presentation had made in my life until three days later. An incident happened at home that would have turned into something much more dramatic if it weren’t for my new outlook at life after hearing you speaking. My wife and I were moving to a new house, and we had piled up moving boxes in the laundry room. We came back home that night, only to realize that the washing machine had cause a flood, soaking the bottom of the boxed. As it turned out, all our wedding pictures were damaged. We couldn’t save any. Right when I was about to join my wife in her distress, I remembered your words, and immediately put things into perspective. What is most incredible is that I was able to generate the same calming effect in my wife by telling her the story. We just picked up the pieces and moved on, feeling actually thankful that no more damage had been done. That is something we will never forget. Thank you!

Doctor-to-Patient Communication is Imperative
Florence Ferreira’s article “A Visit to the Doctor” spoke to me on several levels – both personally and professionally. Articles like this that are rich in content about doctor-to-patient communication should be more abundant! It is not until you are faced with a life-changing medical situation that you realize the need for and value of effective communication at the doctor’s office.
